While it may have felt like an eternity, it’s only been a little over six months since we’ve seen Rihanna’s debut collection with PUMA walk the runway at New York Fashion Week.  Now, fans and fashionistas are gearing up for the recently announced release date of the Fenty x Puma by Rihanna collection.  PUMA took to social media to break the news that September 6, 2016 is the big day!

Two Fenty x PUMA by Rihanna pop-up shops are set to open for 24 hours on September 6th in New York City.  These 24-hours will provide an exclusive opportunity for fans to shop the collection before distribution goes wide the following day on September 7.  Shiekh Shoes (online and select retail stores) will be stocked and loaded on Wednesday the 7th; ready for shoppers to get their fix of new product from the ongoing PUMA and Rihanna collaboration.  There’s no doubt the Barbadian beauty has been a major factor in boosting PUMA’s sales and brand as a whole.  She’s proven it through multiple releases and sell-outs of her highly sought after footwear designs: The Creeper, The Fenty Fur Slide and The Fenty Trainer.  As Creative Director, Rihanna fuses her independent approach to music and fashion with the sport-driven design of PUMA. The result is fearless.

In February’s debut fashion show featuring A-List models Gigi and Bella Hadid, we saw additional styles of footwear designed by Rihanna including a sneaker heel, a sneaker boot and sneaker boot wedge.  Overall, Fenty x PUMA by Rihanna combines the athleisure trend with the singer’s urban gothic flavor.  In it we find laced up corsets, oversized hoodies, and floor-length coach jackets.  Many looks were accessorized with crosses, chokers, and platform Creepers; adding a nineties vibe to the showcase.
